The Roof Health Check on this website is run by Simple Roof Repairs ("we", "us"), a roofing business servicing Falcon and Mandurah up to Success, Western Australia, which carries out the free roof inspections. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect through this website and how we use it.

What we collect

When you use the Roof Health Check and book a free inspection, we collect:

your name, phone number, email address and suburb
your answers to the Roof Health Check questions, your roof health score and the best time to call you
any photo you choose to upload
which ad or link brought you to the site (for example, a Facebook, Instagram or Google ad)

If you call, text or email us, we also keep the details you give us then.

Why we collect it

We use your information to contact you about your roof, book and carry out a free on-site inspection, give you a quote, do any work you agree to, invoice you and follow up afterwards. We also use it, in summary form, to understand which of our ads work. We won't use it for anything unrelated without asking you first.

Who we share it with

We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share it with:

the service providers that run this website and its forms (Netlify, which sends your form details to our email)
our email provider (Google) and the business tools we use to run quotes, bookings and accounts
our accountant, and anyone the law requires us to share it with

Some of these providers, including Netlify, Google and Meta, store data on servers outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We use well-known providers that take reasonable steps to keep your information secure.

Cookies and advertising

This site may use the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads tags. They use cookies and similar technology to tell us when someone who clicked one of our ads completes the Roof Health Check, books an inspection or taps our phone number, and to help show our ads to people likely to need a roofer. They do not give us your name or contact details. You can control how ads are shown to you at Facebook ad preferences and Google ad settings, or block cookies in your browser.

How we store and protect it

Your details are kept in our email and business software, protected by passwords. We keep them only as long as we need them for the job, any warranty and our tax records, then delete them.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
